Ailani made her first appearance in the Fifth Edition of the Lil' Bratz reboot in 2004 as a core character alongside Talia, Nazalia, and Zada. Ailani made her final appearance as a doll in the Funk House collection in 2006, with the Lil’ Bratz brand undergoing another reboot two years later with the main brand’s core characters. However, she and the other core characters from the spinoff’s second era were featured on Lil' Bratz merchandise and in Lil' Bratz media through 2008.

Ailani is a main character in the Lil' Bratz books, and makes an appearance with the other core Lil' Bratz characters in the VTech video game Lil’ Bratz Friends, Fashion, and Fun in 2006 and the interactive DVD Lil' Bratz Party Time in 2008.
TRIVIA
While Ailani most closely resembles Cloe in appearance and can be considered her Lil’ Bratz universe counterpart for that reason, Ailani often wears scaled-down versions of Jade’s wardrobe.
