Bratz Face Masks Now Available at Hot Topic + New Bratz Dolls?
Hey Angelz!
If you didn’t get a chance to buy the rhinestone face mask from the Dolls Kill x Bratz launch, you’re in luck because two new Bratz face masks have launched on the Hot Topic website! Unlike the other Bratz apparel that has appeared on Hot Topic, Box Lunch, Amazon, and now Kohl’s, these face masks are already produced and not made-to-order. These new apparel items even have their own packaging:
You can buy the Gold Logo Fashion Face Mask here and the Metallic Lips Fashion Face Mask here! It appears these masks will only be available in the U.S. for now, but hopefully they become available internationally in the future.
With the increasing amount of clothing collabs coming from the Bratz brand, fans are speculating and expecting a return of the fashion dolls on the toy market soon. Listings for a new playline Bratz collection and collector’s line were leaked a few months ago by Instagram user @dollboy.29, with the playline collection priced at $26.99 USD and collector’s line priced at $49.99 USD. Updates about the new dolls have revealed that the playline dolls will be re-releases of the original core four dolls from 2001, while the collector’s line will be an Amazon exclusive like the Bratz Collector line from 2018.
Product pages for the Bratz Collector 20th Anniversary Edition Cloe, Yasmin, and Sasha dolls have been added to Amazon, but no images or details have been released yet. Check out the listings here:

Just last week, the official Bratz social media accounts posted two polls asking fans which collection they would like “brought back from the vault”. The options included iconic collections like Formal Funk, Slumber Party, Wintertime Wonderland, Tokyo A Go-Go, Rock Angelz, and Pretty ‘N’ Punk, along with a “something new” option. This definitely feels encouraging to collectors that MGA plans to release more dolls soon, as well as confirms that the new playline dolls are actually re-releases of their first collection.
If MGA re-releases old Bratz collections or produces new dolls, what would you like to see? Personally, I don’t mind seeing the OG dolls back on shelves; however, I hope they are given updated bodies, better hair, updated screenings, and overall better quality. I also hope MGA doesn’t rely on nostalgia to sell dolls. Fans deserve something fresh from the brand in terms of playline dolls, not just re-releases. The Bratz brand has so much potential on the toy market if done correctly, especially with how successful L.O.L. Surprise O.M.G. and Rainbow High have become.
MGA’s L.O.L. Surprise O.M.G. dolls come with several outfit pieces, articulated bodies, a doll stand, and accessories at a $26.99 USD price point. Rainbow High, another MGA property, has managed to provide a doll with BJD-like articulation, fully-rooted high-grade nylon hair (not to be confused with polypropylene hair, the awful hair type used on most Bratz released between 2008-2013), two complete outfits, a doll stand, and clothes hangers all packaged in a sleek-designed box at a $26.99 USD price point.
Keeping in mind that O.M.G. and Rainbow High have bigger heads than Bratz and there would be less hair needed for a Bratz-sized head, it seems plausible that MGA can afford to create a high quality playline Bratz doll with two outfits, a full head of high-grade nylon or saran hair, a doll stand, accessories, and nice packaging at a $26.99 USD price point. Only time will tell what will happen with the Bratz brand, but here’s hoping that MGA produces something spectacular for our girls’ twentieth anniversary!
